Gardening
Here are some of the residents getting the vegetable plots ready for planting. We’ve planted sweetcorn, tomatoes, chard, carrots and radishes. With more on the way, we’ll be eating lots of our fresh veggies this year.

We had a little celebration to cheer everyone up during this difficult time. We enjoyed the warmth of the sun and chatted about daily life and future goals. It was a lovely garden party.

We have been getting creative in our kitchen again, with Barbara making some delicious cookies and Michael and Amelia making some honeycomb. Both went down a treat. The left over honeycomb was then used to put in a lovely homemade ice cream, turning it into our very own Welsh gold ice cream.

We feel so lucky to have such a wonderful outdoor space, especially when the weather has been so nice. It’s the perfect place to wander around, take in the views, listen to the outdoor percussion or sit and have a chat and a drink or two.

Whilst the country is on lockdown, Applewood continue to do what we do best, which is to PARTY ON!!! We have partied classical style, vintage style, strictly 40s 50s 60s and 70s styles, country music style and even medieval style! We love any excuse to eat drink and be merry and, well…DANCE!!!
