Life’s a beach!

We held a beach activity day! This day beside the seaside (in the grounds of the home) was enjoyed by all residents! Beach garlands and cocktails by the sea were enjoyed by many residents!

A trip down memory lane

Our residents enjoyed reading some newspapers and other memorabilia from war time and bygone days.

Arts and Crafts

We love having a crafty afternoon here at Braeburn Lodge. We have spent afternoons colouring, making displays in the home, knitting, basket making and much, much more.

Indoor balloons

We enjoyed a group activity which involved using rackets to try and keep balloons floating in the air. The residents enjoyed this fast action game and did very well at communicating and batting the balloons to each other.

Anne’s Birthday

It was a lovely day, full of sunshine on our Anne’s birthday. We made the most of the weather and a group of the ladies had afternoon tea outside.Anne then had a nice supper with birthday cake and presents.

Ernie the therapy dog

Pony play time

The local farm came to visit us one sunny afternoon with their beautifulShetland ponies. Our residents loved the experience and were able to stroke them over the garden fence. We hope they will come and visit us again verysoon.

Visiting

We are proud that we have been able to, with restrictions, open up to visitors again. I understand how frustrating it can and will be for everyone, only being able to visit one at a time and socially distance, but I hopethat everyone trusts that we are working in everyone’s best interests.It has been fantastic…
