We are delighted to announce that work is now underway to build a brand new Milkwood Group dementia care unit on our Ganarew House site in Monmouthshire.

This new specialist accommodation will be called The Orchard and offer 15 luxury bedrooms. All the spacious individually appointed suites will feature walk-in showers and a lounge area, and the majority will have scenic views onto the surrounding hills or down the beautiful Wye Valley. The light and airy home will feature a conservatory, with an adjacent sensory garden, a library and quiet room, aquarium and generous living space. The landscaped gardens, with access for residents, feature a small orchard (hence the name of the new building!) We’re also introducing raised beds for those green-fingered residents happy to tend their own patches. We’re incredibly excited about this new exciting project. We’ve taken into account popular features and aspects from our current homes when designing the new project, so we hope that residents and staff will enjoy living and working in The Orchard. Work started at the end of November and is due for completion in July 2016. We’ll keep you up to date with photos and let you know how the build is progressing in the New Year.
