Today we visited Monmouth, which was one of our residents’ wish on our wishing tree!
She regularly talks about Monmouth and tells us this is where she grew up, so us enabling her to visit her hometown again was very meaningful to her
She invited another resident along to explore Monmouth town, visit a local coffee shop and finish our afternoon eating fish and chips by the river! He also has good memories in Monmouth, as this is where he learnt to drive many years ago!
The both enjoyed their afternoon and our resident was very grateful, she continuously thanked us. When were just about to leave, she looked at us and said: “thank you so much for doing this”, it was such a beautiful moment
