Peddling progress update – a very big thank you
As November, or should I say Movember, comes to an end, I’m pleased to report that the final leg of my 183 mile bike ride has been completed.
I have been lucky during the course of the ride to have had reasonably good weather, a good companion in Janet, who has egged me on when the rain and wind has swept in, and great support from my family, friends and colleagues who have sponsored me and encouraged me to complete the ride.
I have not had to resort to using a static bike in the gym, so all the miles were clocked up on my trusty blue bike, and it has been great to get to know all of the lanes and bye-ways within a 15 mile radius of home in Petersfield.
On the sponsorship side, I was aiming at raising £10.00 per mile for the 183 mile ride. As I do the final count I am delighted to report that the figure raised has well exceeded the £2000 mark!!! Thank you all so much.
All the money is going to Movember Charity, who do such great work in supporting men through the problem times in their lives, be it prostate cancer or depression.
Thank you again
