In January, we introduced a new addition to the Castleford family, Callie the cat!
Callie is a ‘dementia companion pet’ and is very realistic. The research behind these fantastic animals suggests that they are valuable in enhancing well-being, communication and other behavioural aspects. Callie is like our other resident’s beloved Daisy the dog and we’re positive Callie is going to bring a lot of happiness to Castleford.
Callie has made a great first impression and everyone is besotted with her already. A few residents have taken a real shine to our new furry friend, and they chose her name! Our pawfect kitten has spent some quality one to one time with both ladies and they have absolutely loved it. One resident thought Callie was “bootiful” and said, “Her colours are so unique, I’m so glad she’s ours.”
