We are looking for hard-working, enthusiastic and compassionate carers, who are looking to become Care Workers and develop within the Care Sector.

Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities

  • Prepare food for residents
  • Help assist with evening snacks
  • Dishing up suppers
  • Promote high standards
  • Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean at all times
  • To complete jobs that the chef has asked you to do
  • To be able to work well with in a team as well as on your own
  • Good listening and speaking skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
  • Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
  • To be kind and caring to our residents

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in catering and nursing home kitchen is preferable in order to meet high standards
  • Hold a current or willing to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check

Domestic Assistant responsibilities

  • To be able to maintain a high standard of cleaning
  • To have good organisational skills
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition
  • Be comfortable working within either a team setting or lone working
  • To be able to maintain a high standard of cleaning
  • Sort all linens and treat stains
  • Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents
  • Take wet, clean items and dry as directed
  • Sort and fold or hang clean dried items
  • To follow Health and Safety procedures when dealing with the disposal of waste, and in cleaning and laundering throughout the home
