Today we held our own ‘Gin Festival’ at Castleford!
We set up a gin station in the Severn Lounge and had a selection of gins, tonics and fresh fruit to offer plenty of choice to create the perfect concoction!
Flavoured gin has become very popular in recent years and one of our resident’s, who is a big G&T fan, thought it would be a good idea for everyone to try and see what she loved so much!
Both residents have particularly enjoyed the Gin Fest – we transformed one resident into a gin lover after a takeaway night a few weeks ago. She was over the moon with her drinks and told us it was “the perfect beverage!”. Another resident has enjoyed a strawberry gin and managed to keep everyone entertained with his quick whit and humour! Staff have also joined in with the festival, but have stayed on the mocktails.
