With all this lovely sunshine recently, we set off to Barry Island. We all enjoyed the stunning views and, of course, stopped for a well-deserved ice cream treat!

We decided to have a tea party, so we went shopping and picked out a variety of cakes to suit everyone’s tastes. After setting up the dining room and playing some music, we enjoyed plenty of cake along with cups of tea and coffee. It was the perfect way to spend the day!

Castleford school visit

We feel really lucky to be really connected with our local community and recently, one of local schools came to visit us. The children brought excitement, joy and happiness to our residents who smiled for the rest of the day after spending time with the children.

Springing into Spring

Here at Castleford we are preparing for springtime. We were very lucky to have daffodils donated to us, thank you Sharon. We have been busy doing arts and crafts to go on our spring wall and we have done some flower arranging to go around our home. Now we just need the sunshine.

A Perfect Pancake Day!

We love Pancake Day here at Castleford! We had an entire pancake trolley full of pancakes, berries, chocolate, honey, lemon, sugar and whipped cream. Our residents and staff chose what they wanted on their pancakes and enjoyed every last bite. Thank you to Jade for making the pancakes so delicious!

Indoor entertaining

Our lovely staff and residents at Castleford have been bowling, singing and dancing over the last few weeks. It’s amazing how much fun you can have without having to step outside (although, as they say, they love all their outdoor activities too!)
