Milkwood Care Covid-19 Response – 18th May 2021.
As of the 17th May, in line with the latest Government guidance in England and Wales, we are facilitating additional visiting within our homes and residents can now receive up to 5 nominated visitors. Our visiting guidance remains necessarily cautious, and we will monitor the situation as we increase indoor visits. Residents are now able to leave the home accompanied by a nominated visitor for trips out.
Our key points include-
- There will be up to 5 nominated visitors for each individual resident.
- Nominated visitors will undergo LFD testing when they visit the home.
- Nominated visitors will be allowed to hold hands with their loved one.
- We will supply PPE to be worn by visitors.
Outdoor visits, Covid-safe Pod visits and window visits (for non-nominated and nominated visitors) will continue along with palliative care visits. Some homes may not be able to have visits in the case of an outbreak, but all families will be informed.
We would like to thank you for the continued support, patience and understanding during this time and very much look forward to welcoming you inside our homes again.
