5 weeks ago, residents at Castleford House started a gardening club on a Thursday afternoon. They have been busy planting various bulbs and seeds.

There are alot of trees surrounding Castleford, so the residents have been out and about collecting the seeds that have fallen from them, including: horse chestnut, sycamore and one unknown seed. Castleford have also had a few seeds given to them from Barbara Hodge’s husband and daughter, which were hazelnut, chestnut and walnut. Plus, they also bought some bulbs for us to plant.
