Today we have done something different and tried a Greek dish! We had chicken gyros served in pittas with tzatziki.We decided on Greek food as we discussed going on holiday yesterday and one resident said “I would love to be in the Greek sun”. We couldn’t bring the sun to Castleford, but we could bring some of the cuisine! We have joined round the table and indulged on the food that we cooked. Some of the residents have created a special drink for us which they named “tría lemónia!” – it was lovely! One resident said “I love sitting around the table for my lunch with my friends, it was the best food I’ve had for a long time. It was just beautiful”.
