Entering into care
Moving into a care home is a big step. Whatever the circumstances it represents a major life change, not only for the person concerned, but also for family and friends. At Milkwood Care we believe this move can and should be a positive, life-enhancing experience. And that is why we try to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Selecting the right home is important, and looking at the homes available for the first time can be a daunting experience; that’s why you can rest assured we run elderly and dementia nursing homes of the highest standard. Our managers and their teams will try to help you through this process, and we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have about care, amenities, support and lifestyle choices.
Meeting your needs
Whilst the fabric of our buildings and their surroundings is important, it’s our people who really make the homes feel like home.
At Milkwood Care, we’ve developed a team of fully trained, highly dedicated people to meet the physical, social and emotional needs of the people in their care, 24 hours a day.
We have ongoing support from local doctors, nurses, chiropodists, hairdressers, opticians, dentists and visiting clergy.
We recognise the vital importance of a varied and balanced diet in promoting health and well-being, so all our meals are freshly prepared on the premises using local ingredients wherever possible, and we cater for all dietary needs.
Above all, we aim to provide a personal, caring environment where everything is done for the benefit of our residents.
