Years ago, most people learnt to knit. Our mothers and grandmothers always knitted our jumpers, hats, scarves and mittens. Not like nowadays where everyone is buying them from department stores and online.
However, we are still lucky enough to have several residents that still enjoy knitting and some of them have taught some of the care staff how to knit. It’s really nice to watch staff and residents interact with each other and we like the fact that we can still be taught by our elders.
