For National Sandwich Week, we did something a little different and made a sandwich “cake”. Our lovely cook, Ann, came up with this unusual idea, which went down a treat. The residents helped us to prepare the feast, by layering up multiple, popular sandwich fillings. This included ham with tomato, chicken with lettuce and cheese with pickle. Ann then used cream cheese to “ice” the cake. We then decorated it with spring onions and radishes. Everyone got to enjoy a slice at supper time…yum, yum!
