It’s a strange and odd feeling greeting you all, a year after the date when the pandemic began! It would be nice to say life is fully normal, but I don’t think it ever will be totally normal. The Lodge, to date, is able to report a 100% clean sheet on COVID cases – all clients have received their first vaccination as have 71% of staff. The staff have been superb in their attendance for twice weekly testing, acting with vigilance and general goodwill. I think all families will support me in thanking each and every one of them for their support during this time. Life does go on, though! I’m pleased to report that I was able to keep Mel Bowkett and Dan Hines coming in during lockdown to be able to continue clients personal training and, twice a week, Mel comes in to do a group activity, which has been a great success!! I don’t think the clients have lost much physical strength during the last year and the staff have done a good job keeping them entertained!! We’re all feeling the joys of spring right now with these colourful vases bringing the colours and scents of the outside, in!
