Pompey in the Community (PITC) is an award-winning charity which harnesses the motivational power of Portsmouth Football Club. Working annually with 37,000 adults and children across the City, the charity relies on donations and fundraising to promote education, healthy living and sporting participation among vulnerable and disadvantaged people of all ages.
Since 2015, Milkwood Care has been a key sponsor of Portsmouth Football Club’s youth academy teams. We support the club’s up-and-coming young talent with financial backing that helps the Club to nurture and bring through the next generation of players.
During a meeting between Clare Martin (PITC) and Robin and Janet (Milkwood Care), our directors learned that the charity’s minibus had been vandalised. These minibuses transport children and adults to enable them to participate in PITC activities.
Milkwood Care have a fleet of minibuses for use by our residents and the two directors kindly offered PITC one of their vehicles, worth in excess of £8000, as a gift to the charity.
This donation will enable PITC to provide access to its vital work with people of all ages throughout Portsmouth and make a real difference to lives now and in the future.
