On 6th May, Braeburn Lodge celebrated National Nurses’ Day. It was a chance for us to appreciate our wonderful NHS, as well as the daily hard work and challenges faced by our nursing teams, especially during these testing times. We made nurses hats out of card and we decorated the hall with coloured in pictures. The residents turned their hand to some basic nursing skills themselves, by taking Rachel’s blood pressure and pulse. It brought it all back for Beryl, who trained as a nurse in her younger years. As a final thought, to all the nurses out there, working their socks off, we thank you!!
