Having completed all works at both The Mountains and Milkwood Care Homes over the past 12 months, Castleford Care Home is next on the agenda. “More”, we hear you say! Well yes, it’s time to start on the next project, in our quest to keep our homes and the service that we provide in top notch condition! The plan to update Castleford will entail reburbishment of the reception and all communal areas, including a designated ‘tea room’ and ‘activity area’. Staff will also be pleased to have new offices and staff rooms to better suit the layout of the building. Other works will include installation of a new lift, colour co-ordinating of wings for a more dementia friendly environment, new furnishing and re-decocration throughout the home, and finally, external works to the terrace to transform the space into a more usable sun trap to use during the warmer months. The project is set to cost somewhere in the region of £200,000, an investment that will undoubtedly make our residents enjoyment of their home even greater and offer further facilities and opportunities for the surrounding community.
