As we move away from the warm summer days to those cold, blustery winter ones, our activities co-ordinators in all the Milkwood homes are planning more things to do indoors. As we age, or perhaps develop dementia, music can be the key to unlocking good memories from our past. We can all remember popular tunes from our youth, so this winter we are encouraging all our residents, relatives and staff to join in and let the good times roll! In all our homes we’ll be running some special events with a musical slant, alongside all the usual entertainment. We’ll be asking who was a Mod and who was a Rocker, what was the first record that you bought, who played an instrument, and what is your favourite record (and why). Around the homes our teams will be compiling a Top Twenty favourites, and playing these on some special days. Please come along and join in with us. Play a tune for us or bring along… your favourite memory.
