Ganarew House staff came up with the idea of dog walking for the day. As the sun was in the sky, Julie, our Activities Co-ordinator, arranged for her dog Milo to come up to the home for a few hours. The residents took it in turns to take him for walks. We have found that just offering to take the residents for a walk is often unsuccessful but by bringing Milo to the house they were only too willing to go walking as it had a purpose.

Hopefully if the good weather continues the staff are hoping to do this more often. Julie is also pleased as it saves her the job of taking mischeivous Milo for a walk when she gets home!
