At Milkwood Care, we recognise that as a company, we have our part to play in looking after the environment and so we have introduced some internal initiatives to make sure we’re helping to make a difference.

We now have a documented environmental policy in place that outlines how we are attempting to reduce the use of fossil fuels and electrical consumption across our homes. We have assessed the set up and usage of all heating systems; fine tuning them to increase energy efficiency and minimise heat loss and waste.

We are in the process of introducing a new range of ‘eco’ cleaning products, which are much more environmentally friendly. These are sourced from a company in Wales, so we’re pleased to be able to be shopping locally and supporting this type of business.

We are in discussions with local authorities to see how we can plant several hundred trees in the grounds of our homes and in community locations in the spring – we look forward to showing you some photos in due course.
