We have had a very busy weekend! Things we have done include; making milkshakes, spending 1:1 time with our therapy dolls, enjoying a breakfast dining experience and helping out our domestic department! We are always keen to promote hydration at Castleford, so we did this, but with a twist! We created Oreo and Kinder Bueno flavoured milkshakes for people to try! They went down a storm, especially with one of our ladies, who said: “they were bloody lovely!” Our therapy dolls made an appearance and we’ve witnessed some precious moments. The dolls had a fantastic calming effect and always brings a smile to people’s faces! One resident was over the moon when we handed her the baby and she couldn’t stop thanking us. After a successful breakfast outing earlier in the week, we decided to recreate it within the home! We had a brilliant morning, having had a traditional English breakfast cooked for us which all the residents loved . One resident has been a great help to our Head Housekeeper, Julie, who was very grateful when she kindly offered to help Julie with the hoovering! She has done a great job and hopes to help out on the domestic department more often!
