What better way to spend a cold afternoon than wrapped up in the warm with lots of chocolate?! So, today, we had a chocolate-themed afternoon! People gathered round to enjoy home-made chocolate cookies and hot chocolate! We created a hot chocolate station, where people chose what topping to have on their drink, which has promoted choice and can help boost people’s self esteem. One resident thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon spent with some of her friends and told us: “I’ve had the best afternoon ever. My drink was beautiful and so were the biscuits!” We also asked her if she has enjoyed herself and she told us: “Thank you for inviting me. I’ve never had a hot chocolate like it!
