On Friday we were able to grant our resident her Wishing Tree wish, which was to visit Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
Our visit to Slimbridge was wonderful – when we arrived we were greeted by ducks and geese, who were eager to have some of the seed that we purchased for them. She thoroughly enjoyed letting the birds eat the seed out of her hand.
As we were walking around the wetland centre we came across some beautiful otters and we were just in time to hear the keeper do a fascinating talk on how they look after them.
We had a delicious lunch provided by our kitchen team and then more exploring of the centre.
As our afternoon drew to a close and we headed back to the bus, she thanked us for taking her to the wetland centre and said that she has had a fantastic time.
