Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all the lovely Dads in Mynyddoedd Mountains. We had a lovely day with visits and presents from family!

Flower Arranging

Today we did some flower arranging, using roses from our local shop and wild flowers from our very own garden. It was a lovely way to brighten up a dreary day!

Our lovely ladies wanted a cream tea treat, so we drove a short distance to Monmouth and found the perfect spot outside the Red Door Deli. Here, we watched the world go by, the ladies chatted happily together and we all simply enjoyed being out and about.

Birthday Visits

We have celebrated a couple of the ladies’ birthday’s this month. Margaret enjoyed visitors and flowers and the birthday girl Rhoda had some lovely cards and presents.

Tea Dance

Many of our residents were delighted to have a boogie, followed by tea and cakes, at our tea dance. It was really fun!

Pet Therapy

We had some very friendly ducks visit the home this week! Some of our residents enjoyed a cuddle with our resident ducks!

McVities Afternoon Tea

Sidney and Joyce enjoying making some cup cakes this morning as part of our Mcvities Afternoon tea. Archie also had a go at completing the Mcvities word search challenge… he nailed it!

The Queen’s Birthday Celebration

We had a delicious home made afternoon tea to celebrate the Queen’s birthday! The food was truly scrumptious and the residents loved having a good old chat round the table!

65th Wedding Anniversary

Today our two residents celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a socially distanced lunch with their loved ones.The couple and their family have sat in our sensory garden and enjoyed exchanging gifts, cards, and eating the beautiful buffet and cake provided by our kitchen team.So today, in the sunshine, we had a toast to our…
