High Tea & Entertainment

We had such a wonderful afternoon having a delicious afternoon high tea and listening to live music from ‘Wolfgang’. A great afternoon had by all our happy residents.

Our Summer BBQ

We hosted a BBQ and, as we always do, invited our sister home Ganarew. We had a paddling pool, sand pit, the cricket was onand we even invited Howard to sing in the garden for the staff, residents, and family members. Some also enjoyed getting up andplaying some cricket.

An Afternoon of Dancing

We had a fabulous afternoon of dancing live entertainment. Harry came in with his wonderful smooth voice to sing for us . Mary especially liked Harry singing Happy birthday to her , her face was pure joy!

Day Trips

We have had a very busy month, making the most of the sunshine and taking trips out to the deer park, Watercress Line and meeting up with our sister homes to take part in the Dementia Choir

Building Friendships

At Castleford we strive to provide outstanding levels of social stimulation for everyone! We do this by building connections through new friendships! Recently, we had variety of trips, including shopping, lunch outings and coffee dates! We have seen some wonderful new friendships form and a positive increase in people’s well-being

Scone Baking

A very fun morning baking scones ,with the ladies they are very good! We are going enjoy them for our afternoon tea.

Quiz Time

We decided to make the most of the beautiful sunshine and have a quiz in our garden! It was great fun and of course rewarded with some ice cream pots!
