Autumn Is Here

Over the weekend, we spent some time redesigning our feature wall in the Severn Lounge. Taking on everyone’s ideas, thoughts, and opinions towards the project, we are over the moon with the finished look. A beautiful, autumnal, ambience fills the room and supports everyone to get ready for the upcoming spooky and cosy season.

Macmillan Coffee Morning at The Orchard

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan Coffee Morning, and to those who kindly donated throughout the week for such an important cause. We are delighted to share that we raised just over £100!

A trip to Old Court Hotel

This local eatery is a firm favourite amongst both staff and residents as the food is super tasty and we are always made to feel very welcome.

Disco party at The Mountains

We enjoyed the best afternoon letting her hair down at our 1970’s themed disco party. Singing, dancing, quizzing and grooving – we did it all! Salt dough creations

A number of residents had a lovely afternoon decorating salt dough pendants with watercolour paints. A decorative ribbon was threaded through their finished creations and hung on a display tree in the reception area. Once finished, the arrangement looked truly amazing, with twinkly lights to complete the magical look.

Meet Odin and Skye

Meet Odin the pony and Skye the dog! They were scheduled to join us for our BBQ but couldn’t travel due to the wind. However, they visited this afternoon, and the residents thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Pitch and Putt at Chatterwood

Our amazing activities team, including Ally, Carla, and Logan, created their own pitch and putt in the residents’ lounge. Neil, Barbara, Wendy, Ronnie, and Martin eagerly participated, while Ann enjoyed watching the activity. Some staff members also joined in, taking a swing at the makeshift course. Enjoying our new local cafe!

A new farm shop has arrived in our local area and we just couldn’t wait to pop along to see it. We enjoyed a drink in their cafe and everyone agreed that it’s a lovely place. The setting provided the perfect backdrop for some warm conversations – mainly about our children and grandchildren.

Lovely days out for residents at The Lodge

Over the last few months we have enjoyed lots of trips out. We like to visit local places to enjoy a lovely meal and to spend time with friends and family.

A trip to Butterefly Farm

Our last visit to the Butterfly Farm was a huge hit so we decided to go again as the chosen “big day out” in September. It’s always a joy to see how peaceful and happy our residents are when they visit these special places. As you can see, the butterflies were very friendly.
