Halloween fun at Applewood

We celebrated Halloween by baking some delicious Halloween-themed cupcakes and donning witchy hats and bat-wing headbands. It was a fun and creative way to get into the Halloween spirit.

Our favourite French pooch at Castleford

Another weekly visit from our favourite French pooch! Elvis always works his magic, bringing plenty of happiness and love into our home. Len couldn’t get enough of Elvis this week as he invited the doggy onto his lap, where he doted on him.

Blockbusters is back!

Blockbusters is one of our favourite lounge games to play together. We think our game board looks mighty professional, and based on how cleverly our residents played, we can’t help but wonder if we have some professional game masters in the house!

Baking and keeping warm

Colder days never stop us from finding fun indoor activities to enjoy. For example, our wonderful residents at Applewood recently hosted a men vs. women apple pie-making challenge, inspired by The Great British Bake Off. What a fantastic (and delicious) idea!

Josie and Daphne have discovered a talent for creating some autumnal arts and crafts. The ladies have carefully cut out some seasonal leaves and hedgehogs.
