Yesterday, we saw RGN Rebeka and Head of Lifestyles Amelia change departments and have a go at being Chefs for the day!
Both Rebeka and Amelia are cooking enthusiasts at home and have always wanted to try cooking at Castleford, so when the opportunity arose they jumped at it!
With the incredible support of Jade and all the other staff on shift, they we able to produce some fantastic food to serve, based on what people wanted to eat. One resident had requested “Lindy’s Cheesecakes”, another had asked for Pizza and another resident fancied something with BBQ sauce. The chefs pulled it off by serving hunters chicken with home made chips and onion rings, freshly-made pizza and raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake with a raspberry coulis!
Everyone who tried the food was very complimentary of what they had and the change of jobs for the day appears to have been very successful
