On 20th May, we celebrated World Bee Day here at the home. As ever, Amanda excelled in her costume choice by dressing as a giant, inflatable bumble bee. The staff got involved by wearing colourful tops and head boppers. On the morning tea trolley, Amanda buzzed around the home, handing out bread topped with local honey, which felt like such a treat. Margaret and Sandra helped to make ‘Bertie the Bee’ out of card and tissue paper to display in our dining room. World Bee Day gave us the chance to celebrate our buzzy friends and remember their importance in our delicate ecosystem.
