Today, for the first time, we opened our own Casino!
We decorated our Severn Lounge to get the real feel of a Vegas Casino and brought a little bit of Vegas to Castleford this afternoon! We listened to 70’s pop music, enjoyed some tapas-style food and, of course, drank champagne to create the perfect atmosphere for people to splash some cash (not legal tender)!
We played poker, blackjack and 21! One of our gents managed to win the most cash – we think he might be a secret hustler! Another said: “I’ve had a brilliant afternoon trying something new, but a man never shares his secrets!”.
Everyone involved has had a brilliant time! We gambled, (responsibly) drank, danced, played games and celebrated our winnings in true “Castleford Style”. We asked one resident what she thought of the Casino and she told us: “beautiful drinks, beautiful people and beautiful food!” We also asked Sarah, RGN, what she thought of the afternoon and she said: “Viva Las Vegas! It was a great afternoon and everyone had a brilliant time!”.
