Back by popular demand, today we have held cheese tasting! We have had seven difference cheeses to taste and score. These were; Cheddar with garlic and herb, coastal cheddar bite, Mexican hot, aged Red Leicester, five counties cheese, port wine derby and caramelised red onion cheddar! To accompany the cheese tasting we have had a selection of chutneys and crackers too! We have done cheese tasting before and this time the winner was caramelised onion cheddar with 61 points, followed by the costal cheddar in 2nd with 58 and 3rd place was five counties with 52 points! One resident said the costal cheddar was her favourite because “it was crunchy and full of flavour”, whereas another was delighted the caramelised red onion cheddar won because she thought it was “bloody beautiful!”
