Les had a wonderful day celebrating his 104th birthday with friends & family all coming to visit him. Singing great songs that Les loved and les telling us of all his wonderful travels and experiences throughout his fabulous life. Les is our absolute treasure and a fantastic man. Here’s to many more birthdays.

We had a wonderful VE entertainment session where we took
a moment to remember all the heroes and listened to their
recollections.

Our new Amused Toolkit had so many amazing Activities
to do. It was donated to us very kindly. It has so many fun
quizzes, music from back in the day, sand to make sand castles
a sensory activity, we have little pots that have seaside smells
inside that brings back so many memories

The Braeburn residents decided to make fat balls for their feathered garden visitors and hung them out on the feeders. They look wonderful. Now the sun has graced us with her presence again, we can feel spring is in the air! 

Who doesn’t love an eclair? That’s why the staff at Braeburn Lodge decided it would be a great idea to make some with the residents. They used choux pastry, cream, and of course – chocolate! You can see they went down very well with everyone who tasted them. 

Recently, the lovely residents at Braeburn lodge spent a morning with their heads in the history books, looking back to the 1930s, 40s and 50s. The books brought back so many memories and they all shared some fabulous stories from their youthful years. 

Our ladies at Braeburn Lodge got into the spirit of Valentine’s Day by designing their own unique heart masterpieces out of different materials, along with a well-deserved glass of bubbles.

The colder months do not stop us from moving and grooving – even if that is chair-based yoga, which we all love! Jenny is a superstar teacher.
