Summer garden parties are in full swing at Milkwood Care! Braeburn Lodge kicked off the celebrations with an unforgettable party. Residents and their families enjoyed a delicious BBQ, fun activities, a magician, live music, and plenty of singing and dancing.

We all enjoyed day of baking to create some treats for us to enjoy with our cups of tea and coffee. Such a fantastic time for everyone to have a good natter and catch up.

Braeburn came alive with VE Day celebrations, as residents of all ages joined in the festivities, marked by shared stories, laughter, and of course, delicious cake. Amidst the commemoration, the vibrant colours of the garden provided a peaceful retreat, where residents took joy in potting sunflowers, sowing seeds of hope and renewal for the days…

Gathering together at The George Hotel in Pangbourne, our residents had the pleasure of joining the “One Voice Choir” for a memorable afternoon of music and camaraderie. It was a heartwarming experience as they came together, blending their voices with the wonderful choir, creating moments of pure magic through song. And our ladies sang beautifully!

Residents from Braeburn Lodge had a fantastic time attending the Age UK group at Majesty Stadium. They enjoyed playing games and even had the chance to win prizes in the players lounge at Reading Football Club. It was a memorable experience filled with fun and excitement for all who participated.

We’ve had a lovely morning filled with love and laughter while we made valentine cards and crafts.

We have been busy preparing for our Chinese New year’s celebrations 2024 the year of the dragon! We had fun making our dragons and Lanterns Then a real dragon came to say hello ….very scary …and adorable!
