There’s something truly magical about the winter sun. As soon as the opportunity arises, we love venturing outside into our beautiful gardens to soak up some much-needed rays and enjoy a good chat together. 

It was with great pride that the entire team at Braeburn Lodge – staff and residents included – came together to celebrate 25 incredible years of Milkwood Care. The Braeburn Lodge team went above and beyond in this year’s ‘Memory Walk’ for Alzheimer’s Society, honouring our current residents and those who are gone but never forgotten. Gathering in our lounge on a Sunday to sing hymns is a treasured part of our weekly routine.  We have some wonderful singers here at Braeburn too! 

Adapting our arts, crafts, and games to our resident’s preferences and needs is the perfect way to combine creativity and relaxation. Whether they prefer colour-by-numbers, or an interactive game of soft darts, we have lots of choose from and staff who are eager to get involved.

How lucky are we to have received a much-coveted trip on a steam locomotive! Residents were thrilled about this unique opportunity to experience the nostalgia and to learn about the charm of travelling by steam train. 

Summer garden parties are in full swing at Milkwood Care! Braeburn Lodge kicked off the celebrations with an unforgettable party. Residents and their families enjoyed a delicious BBQ, fun activities, a magician, live music, and plenty of singing and dancing.

We all enjoyed day of baking to create some treats for us to enjoy with our cups of tea and coffee. Such a fantastic time for everyone to have a good natter and catch up.
