Chatterwood

It’s been another busy week here at Chatterwood. We’ve made Christmas tree decorations, started our Christmas shopping, enjoyed a wonderful performance from Martin Gray, had a good laugh at our staff talent show, been to the breakfast club, and visited the Christmas market at the Triangle Centre. Phew!

It was wonderful to welcome back Colin, along with four of his feathered friends.  To prepare for the winter season, the residents had the opportunity to re-pot some winter flowers that will be displayed outside the home. We had the honour of welcoming Michelle Clark, a serving Royal Air Force Air Specialist Class 1 Chef. Michelle teamed up with our cook, Khai, to prepare a delicious beef bourguignon for lunch, followed by a fruit crumble.  The Royal Garrison Church in Aldershot hosted The Longest Yarn, a knitted and crocheted exhibition featuring contributions from many people. The “Higher or Lower Game” is a firm favourite across the home. Residents love playing, both as a group and as a one-to-one activity.  We must say a shout-out to our summer holiday helper, Stanley, who enjoyed leading the game with Ronnie, Jean, and Linda.
