Ganarew

The residents absolutely LOVE when the Animals Interactive team pays us a visit.  Here they are, enjoying some cuddle time with adorable animals like a meerkat, guinea pigs, bunnies, and even a huge snake! 

Capturing photos of our residents, with their beautiful smiles and sparkling eyes, is always a special moment. Whether they’re sharing a laugh, enjoying time with friends, or simply soaking in the day, these moments are truly priceless and we’re grateful to be able to capture and cherish them. 

Celebrations for Milkwood Care’s 25th anniversary took place across each of our homes. Here are some photos from Ganarew House. Each celebration was truly unforgettable!

The residents at Ganarew enjoyed an evening of sparkling festivities, and they all agreed they loved their firework display.

Blockbusters is one of our favourite lounge games to play together.  We think our game board looks mighty professional, and based on how cleverly our residents played, we can’t help but wonder if we have some professional game masters in the house!

We enjoyed the most wonderful cream tea afternoon, made even more special by the presence of family members who joined in the fun.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us!

The weather this summer has been rather unpredictable, so it was perhaps not such a surprise that we had to tweak our plans for a garden-based summer fayre this year. Best laid plans! We were treated to a fantastic visit from Musical Movement, who got us all participating in a chair-based move and groove session. It made for a super fun afternoon!

Celebrating birthdays is very important to us. We never miss an opportunity to bake a cake and gather round to sing together. Here is the fabulous Bill, celebrating his 93rd birthday. Also pictured are our lovely Margaret, June, Lynda and Ray.

Our residents at Ganarew House recently enjoyed a special visit from Animals Interactive. They were fortunate enough to meet, hold, and interact with lots of animals, including guinea pigs, meerkats, snakes, lizards and even an owl! The animals were super friendly and everyone loved interacting with them.
