Ganarew

We love any excuse for a party, and what could be a better one than celebrating the birthdays of three of our wonderful ladies from Ganarew, Margaret, Kath Shelagh and Glenys. Cakes, flowers, and cards were much deserved. Happy Birthday lovely ladies!

We’ve had a lovely time getting out and about this summer, even on days when the sun wasn’t shining brightly. The dry weather allowed us to embrace the outdoors, breathe in the fresh air, and explore the beauty of nature. On our usual Wednesday activity, we took all the residents over to the dance class, they had a great time learning some new steps and also remembering some old grooves!

We had such a wonderful afternoon having a delicious afternoon high tea and listening to live music from ‘Wolfgang’. A great afternoon had by all our happy residents.

We had our very own Independance Day here at Ganarew! We had an American themed lunch menu, an afternoon of games and some good old sing songs!

Our residents are loving our new “baby” doll. This was gifted to us from a lady who makes these lifelike dolls. It is weighted and feels and looks like a real newborn, just without the sleepless nights and nappies. A big thank you to her.

We have been enjoying some lovely walks whilst the weather has been nice. We are very lucky to have some beautiful sights on our doorstep. We had a look around the church and Betty enjoyed sitting on the “throne”

We wished all our Ganarew Dad’s and Grandads a very Happy Father’s Day! They all received some wonderful cards and gifts and were treated to a lovely cold pint of beer with their Father’s Day lunch!

We took our residents out for a shopping trip this morning. The residents had a great time in our local department store, Labels.
