Our artistically talented activities team are busy preparing for the Christmas festivities, already feeling the Christmas buzz here at the mountains. This is also a time we stop and reflect on the memory of all of the residents we sadly lost through the year as we think of them and their families at this time…

We were able to take two of our gentlemen, John Bourne and Sidney Wood, out shopping for some new clothes. We all enjoyed a well deserved cuppa and cake afterwards!

Over the last few weeks, we celebrated residents’ birthdays with lots of VERY BIG cakes. Every single one was delicious!

We had a lovely day of playing skittles outside in the sunshine and in the lounges. The residents really enjoy this activity and many get into a competitive mood! It’s great exercise, good for hand and eye coordination and it’s lots of fun!!

Alan and Margaret enjoyed a trip to our local farm today. The both loved petting this beautiful horse.

From 14th-20th June, McVitie’s are running a nutrition and hydration week and we are getting involved! Our residents will be engaging in many activities; painting, making bunting, doing related word searches and engaging in discussions about the importance of good nutrition and hydration. Ladies who lunch and shop. We had lovely morning spent at the retail park, the ladies definitely enjoyed their cakes.

We made the most of the beautiful sunshine and took a stroll around the neighbourhood. We even made one of our residents her very own daisy chain.
