We held a book character day! Our residents and staff dressed up as a character from one of their favourite books. The characters included Hilda Ogden, Sterling Moss, Churchill, Little Red Riding Hood, Florence Nightingale and many more. Our residents love the opportunity to sing and dance.

We had a fun filled Halloween this year! Our staff dressed up in scary costumes, we all got creative with our pumpkin carving and helped to decorate the house in all things ghoulish and spooky. Residents were treated to some great entertainment from Nick the magician, whilst tucking into handfuls of tasty sweets.

The girls from Ganarew love being out and about in the fresh autumn days, particularly at the garden centre to see autumn flowers and plants. This beautiful indoor plant with huge trumpet type flowers proved to be a big hit.

Our residents at Milkwood have been doing a lot of fiddly finger work lately! This includes piecing together jigsaw puzzles and playing dominoes and jenga.

Super cute Teddy visited The Mountains for one of our pet therapy sessions. Teddy was given plenty of love and cuddles by our residents, which he adored! Teddy proved to be very popular amongst our residents, and we cannot wait for his return.

We visted the theatre in Monmouth and watched ‘ Dad’s Army’. We had a sing along and treated ourselves to ice cream, which Margaret thought tasted great. Overall, it was a great afternoon!

Steve enjoyed a day out in Wales’ capital, Cardiff. He said that he enjoyed Cardiff and found it a very cosmopolitan city. His best part of the trip was sailing out on Cardiff Bay!
