Today is a very special day—we’re celebrating 25 amazing years of Milkwood Care!

As we look back on this incredible journey, Directors Robin Cheesman and Janet Leech reflect on how it all began in 1999. From their first meeting while building care homes to naming the company after Dylan Thomas’s poem “Under Milk Wood,” their passion for providing care has been the driving force behind Milkwood’s success.

Co-Director Janet Leech beautifully sums it up: “It’s always been our aim to look after our residents as we would look after our own family.” Milkwood has transformed from one small home into a thriving network of care facilities, where residents are treated like family.

A huge thank you to our dedicated nurses, carers, cooks, and cleaners – everyone who has played a vital role in our success over the past 25 years.
