Chatterwood Social Club
Posted on May 1, 2012 by Milkwood Admin
Our recently established social club, which we hold at the British Legion on the first Monday of every month, has proved to be very successful and enjoyable. Shaun, who is the maintenance man for both Chatterwood and Milkwood Nursing Homes in Liss, sings and entertains everyone.
Doug and Rosina, who reside at Chatterwood, are always joined by family members and so it’s a lovely social event for them. Residents from Milkwood also join us, as well as residents from Forest Rise Nursing Home, in Liss Forest.
The residents all enjoy a glass of wine or whisky and have a great afternoon singing and dancing. The club is open to everyone in the village and surrounding areas and we would welcome anyone who would like to join us. The club is open from 2pm to 3.30pm and free of charge, except for your drinks.
Many would agree that this club really lifts everyone’s moods, it’s proved that singing is often the best way to create laughter and happiness. We would like to thank Angie at the Legion for supporting Chatterwood.
