Creative cooking

Posted on May 1, 2012 by Milkwood Admin

At Castleford House the residents get up to all sorts of activities, one being cooking. Although, over the years, cooking has proved quite unsuccessful as something always goes wrong, wherever it be soggy rice krispie cakes or falling apart meat balls.

After many failed attempts, we decided to try cooking again… alas, it was a further fail!

We had decided to move away from rice krispie cakes and meatballs, and tried bread making!

We measured everything out according to the recipe, added the dough to the bread machine and waited patiently.

After 3 hours of kneading and rising and eventual cooking (it smelt lovely), we opened the bread maker door and unfortunately it hadn’t risen an inch and was completely raw.

So needless to say, we didn’t eat it.

Never mind, better luck next time, we hope.
