This year, Braeburn Lodge wanted to celebrate Halloween in style and spread some magical cheer. The activities team decorated the reception and dining room to create a ‘spooktacular’ atmosphere, including spider bunting, jack o’ lanterns and spooky ghosts hanging from the ceiling. Even the staff donned their scariest costumes – don’t you think Amanda and Abby looked great? The residents wore spooky headbands and witches’ hats to add to the theme of Halloween. Our lovely senior, Krisztina, swapped her pager for a chef’s hat and made her delicious Hungarian goulash with fresh crusty bread. The very talented Georgina made us a spooky haunted house cake, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the residents and staff. In the afternoon, we played some ghostly games and listened to some Halloween hits from through the ages. It’s safe to say that a good time was had by all.
