Halloween

Posted on October 31, 2020 by Milkwood Admin

Just because there is a pandemic, it did not stop all of us at Chatterwood having fun on Halloween. Obviously, the day was different from previous years when we could invite relatives, friends and children to join us. We decorated the house, and it looked amazing, nothing was going to stop Chatterwood celebrating Halloween.
The day was marked with the staff dressing up in Halloween outfits and the residents wore witches hats. We had an amazing spooky lunch prepared by Elayne, the cook, which everyone enjoyed. After lunch, we played some songs, like ‘Monster Mash’ and ‘Time Walk’ and everyone sang along. Then, some members of staff joined together and did several Zumba dances and one of the residents joined in by swinging her arms.
We followed this with a Halloween quiz, which turned out to be very competitive and very amusing with some of the answers given. We finished up the afternoon with a cup of tea and spooky, delicious cakes made by Rita, our senior nurse. Overall, it was a great day and everyone enjoyed it.
