At Applewood, we are continually inspired by the kindness and dedication of our residents and their families. Today, we are thrilled to share the heart-warming story of one of our residents’ family members, Helen, who recently demonstrated extraordinary commitment by participating in a sponsored walk to raise money for dementia.

On May 11th, Helen embarked on an extremely challenging sponsored walk with a mission close to her heart: supporting dementia research and care. With incredible determination and a positive spirit, she completed the 26 mile walk in an impressive 9 hours and 8 minutes.

Thanks to her tireless efforts and the generosity of her sponsors, she raised a fantastic £783.00. This contribution will go a long way in supporting vital research and initiatives aimed at understanding and combating dementia, a cause that affects many of our residents.
