A right royal party was held in the grounds of Ganarew House and The Orchard to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. It was a beautiful day, the sun shone and the bunting was out in full splendour. Residents and their friends and families from both homes came together, along with staff, to take part in a wonderful afternoon of festivities. It was lovely to see so many family and friends gather to celebrate. The good weather enabled everyone to enjoy the party outside, where there was lots of lovely food and drink available. The afternoon was filled with fun, music and games, which included a tombola, lucky dip, bouncy castle and ice cream van. Two tiny pigmy goats made a special appearance, much to the delight of everyone. Music was provided by Wolf Riversteen and the chocolate fountain proved popular with many, especially the children! Our special thanks goes to Mr Robert Lewis, and his daughter, Laura, who helped to organise such a wonderful event. It really was a party fit for a queen!
