Lest We Forget

Posted on November 11, 2020 by Milkwood Admin

With Remembrance Day in mind, we spent one morning making a beautiful poppy display for our reception area.
The residents used scrunched red tissue to add colour to our large display poppy. We also made poppy wreaths out of coloured felt to hang around the home. Despite another national lockdown, Armistice Day celebrations were still going ahead at the Cenotaph in London, something we tuned into on Sunday 8th November. In the afternoon, Braeburn was visited by a young bugle player, who sounded ‘The Last Post’ to remember all of those who lost their lives in battle. We will forever be grateful for their sacrifice.
