The Battle of Passchendaele, also known as the Third Battle of Ypres, was remembered at Ganarew House. Our ladies and gents were moved by the news media coverage and enthralled to see the young Royals, William and Kate, representing Britain.

It was touching to read that Captain Noel Chavasse was Britain’s most highly decorated war hero, and one of only 3 people to be awarded the V Cross twice and the only V C + Bar of the First World War.
