Last Friday Milkwood House Care Home set up an awareness stand in Rams Walk, Petersfield. Following on from our Care Home Open Day, we are determined to continue to build links with our community. The stand, manned by three of our dedicated carers, gave the opportunity for the public to ask questions relating to care and Dementia, a subject that has been clouded by negative press in recent years. Milkwood Care have decided to put ourselves out there to show how WE go about caring for our residents and the positive impact that it has on their lives. We believe that allowing people the access to this advice is of upmost importance, therefore, we wish to continue these opportunities on a regular basis. Our stand was also a hit down to the fact we were handing out goodie-bags, homemade cakes and we were even offering a competition to win a ticket to Beaulieu. So all in all, the day was a great success and the sun shone throughout!
