National Care Home Open Day This Friday 21st June

Posted on May 1, 2012 by Milkwood Admin

Realisation that care homes are in need of positive publicity is slowly coming round. With the first National Care Home Open Day taking place this Friday, 21st June.

Milkwood Care Limited are opening all of their homes on this day to local community members, ranging from sports teams to town Mayors. The aim is to connect residents and their communities together. It is now more than ever that care homes should be working in conjunction with their community; with ward closures in hospitals across the country, we feel that only homes and their carers will be able to meet the shortfall and be able to provide the care that our elderly population need.

The entire Milkwood team is looking forward to this momentous ‘National Care Day’ with an abundance of activities having been organised. Confirmation from dance club performers, musicians, Town Mayor appearances, activities for the kids, cream teas and even a visit from some farm animals is sure to make this event one to remember.
